The Washington Nationals are the third Major League Baseball team to be located in the nation's capital - and the first to not be named the Senators. The first Senators moved to Minnesota in 1961, while the second Senators left for Texas in 1972. The Nationals are the legacy of the franchise formerly known as the Montreal Expos. They moved to DC in 2005 and into their new 'Nationals Park' baseball stadium in 2008.
